  20. At the last IETF, during the discussion of the requirements document
  21. (draft-ietf-urn-req-frame-00.txt), I put up on a slide a list of
  22. issues that need further discussion, but were to be held for the
  23. mailing list.  The time has now come, so I will be posting questions
  24. at regular intervals.  Obviously, we can't discuss them all at once,
  25. so I will stage them.  This is an attempt to discover where the
  26. consensus lies in the group and where there are still issues that need
  27. further discussion.  Each one will have a different subject field in
  28. order to help people manage the threads.  I will try my best to
  29. provide some background to frame each question.

  31. Also, after re-reading the document, if you have topics that you think
  32. we should discuss, it is probably best to send those directly to me
  33. first (sollins@lcs.mit.edu), so that they won't distract the ongoing
  34. discussions.  I will try to make sure that all issues raised get
  35. attention of the whole group.  Obviously, if you think I am
  36. misrepresenting your issue(s), please jump in.
